How Spark Ignite Works.
Spark Ignite provides flexible, creative re engagement support for children and young people who are struggling to access mainstream education in and around Greater Manchester.
Provision is designed to sit alongside existing school or local authority arrangements, supporting emotional regulation, confidence and readiness to learn in a safe and structured way.
All placements are considered individually following referral.
Who can refer?
Referrals to Spark Ignite can be made by:
- schools
- local authorities
- parents and carers
All referrals are submitted via our referral form and reviewed to ensure suitability, safety and capacity.
What happens after a referral?
Once a referral is received:
The referral information is reviewed
- Suitability and risk are considered
- Further discussion may take place with parents and/or professionals
- Provision is agreed in writing where appropriate
- A start date is confirmed
Submitting a referral does not guarantee a placement.
What does Spark Ignite Offer?
Spark Ignite can offer:
- 1:1 re engagement support
- small group provision (carefully matched)
- creative, arts based activities
- regulation focused sessions
- flexible daytime provision
All sessions are:
- planned
- risk assessed
- safeguarding led
- delivered by experienced practitioners
Provision is flexible and reviewed regularly to ensure it remains appropriate and safe.
What Spark Ignite is (and is not).
Spark Ignite is:
- a small, specialist alternative provision
- relationship led and trauma informed
- flexible and responsive
- safeguarding focused
Spark Ignite is not:
- a school
- a replacement for statutory education
- a behaviour management service
- a crisis or emergency provision
Safeguarding and Bondaries.
Spark Ignite operates under robust safeguarding, lone working and risk management policies.
Clear professional boundaries are maintained at all times and provision is reviewed regularly to ensure safety and suitability.
Fees and Funding.
Fees are agreed following referral review and confirmed in writing prior to commencement.
Provision may be:
- school or local authority commissioned
- parent/self funded
- supported alongside other arrangements
