Who can refer?

Referrals can be made by:

• schools
• local authorities
• parents and carers

If you are unsure whether Spark Ignite may be suitable, you are welcome to make an initial referral for consideration.

How to make a referral.

All referrals are submitted via our online referral form. (link at bottom of the page)

The form gathers essential information to help us understand:

• the child or young person’s needs
• current education arrangements
• safeguarding considerations
• support and risk factors

What happens next?

Once a referral is received:

• The information provided is reviewed
• Suitability, risk and capacity are considered
• Further discussion may take place if required
• Provision and fees are agreed in writing where appropriate
• A start date is confirmed

Spark Ignite will contact the referrer if the referral is suitable to discuss next steps.

What information will I need?

To complete the referral form, you may need:

• basic details about the child or young person
• parent/carer contact information
• current education status
• safeguarding and risk information
• relevant SEND details (if applicable)

If you are unsure about any section, please complete what you can. Spark Ignite will follow up if further information is required.

Safeguarding and confidentiality

All information is handled securely and in line with safeguarding and data protection requirements.

Safeguarding concerns will be shared with appropriate agencies where required.
